Valor Hospitality Partners, a global full-service hotel management company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the owners of the Petra Sea Resort in the Eastern European city of Batumi, Georgia. The groundbreaking partnership will mark the first master-planned, mixed-use development in the nation of Georgia and will include internationally branded resorts, serviced residents and extended stay apartments. Located on the Black Sea coast, the project will cover nearly 50 acres and include a wide variety of lifestyle food and beverage outlets, leisure and wellness facilities as well as retail spaces while offering stunning views of the coastline
The newly signed MoU names Valor Hospitality as the exclusive operating company for all hospitality assets, amounting to more than 1,750 keys and full range of facilities management services for the entire development. Valor Hospitality Partners will be involved with overall development and resort and facilities management for the entire project—which will include more than 30 food and beverage outlets ranging from small cozy cafes to international franchise brands. Additionally, the property will host two lifestyle beach clubs, retail spaces encompassing a blend of local and regional comfort names, global brands and anchor stores. The development will also support community living and wellness with areas focused on activities and events for adults, families, solo travelers and young explorers such as yoga, Pilates, holistic trainings and yacht mooring facilities.
"We are honored to have been named the hospitality manager for Petra Sea Resort, a destination that epitomizes both luxury and leisure," said Euan McGlashan, global co-founder and CEO of Valor Hospitality Partners. “Beyond expanding our global footprint, this new partnership represents an opportunity to embrace the rich culture, natural beauty and warm hospitality of the nation of Georgia. We look forward to forging meaningful partnerships with local communities, supporting economic growth and sharing the beauty of Georgia with the world."
Batumi, the vibrant capital of the Adjara region, is growing rapidly and supporting overall tourism development in Georgia as it continues to receive high levels of interest for the Arabian Gulf region. With flights from Riyadh, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai arriving regularly to the city, Petra Sea Resort is a top place to stay for business and leisure travelers—less than 20 miles from Batumi airport and 10 miles from the center of Batumi.
"Valor Hospitality has long pursued opportunities in the Eastern European region, and we are thrilled to be expanding beyond our projects in Uzbekistan to now include Georgia,” said Julien Bergue, co-founder and managing partner for Valor Hospitality Partners Middle East & CIS. "With the nature and size of this development, we’ll be opening an office in Georgia to ensure that our full-service package is available through our trusted and highly experienced partners and team on the ground. The local team is strongly supported across specialist areas like restaurants & bars, sales, marketing, revenue management, distribution, customer experience, sustainability, PR, and specialist operations from our team based in Dubai, UAE. It’s a great opportunity to encourage local owners, developers and investors to reach out to us and see how we could further energize the hospitality landscape."
