ATLANTA, May 7, 2024 – Leading global hospitality management organization, Valor Hospitality Partners, announced the grand opening of Cloudland at McLemore Resort Lookout Mountain, Curio by Hilton, marking a significant milestone in the company's expansion and a historic moment for the North Georgia mountain landscape. Cloudland is Valor Hospitality’s second resort property in North America, joining the award-winning Lodge at Gulf State Park, a Hilton Hotel in Gulf Shores, AL. The property is situated at 2,300 feet of elevation among the 800-acre landscape of McLemore Resort that includes two world-class Rees Jones and Bill Bergin designed golf courses, a beautifully curated clubhouse, state-of-the-art practice facilities and activities for everyone. This is the culmination of 15 years of dedication by Scenic Land Company and the unwavering belief and vision of Valor Hospitality.
Developed by Scenic Land Company, Cloudland’s arrival at McLemore Resort marks a historic milestone for the area, as it becomes the first hotel built on Lookout Mountain since the Great Depression. In partnership, FlickMars Interior Design from Dallas, Texas collaborated with Scenic Land Company and Valor Hospitality’s design and development team to create and incorporate elevated finishes across the property—combining uncompromising service with rustic craftsmanship and comfort.
"This project marks a pivotal point in Valor Hospitality’s global portfolio expansion and our resort management in the North American market," said Euan McGlashan, global co-founder and CEO of Valor Hospitality Partners. "Cloudland at McLemore Resort demonstrates our core values of innovation, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of excellence for each and every single guest. It serves as a beacon of our unwavering commitment to shaping the future of hospitality and solidifying our position as a global leader in the industry. For me, it’s a personal triumph after being involved at McLemore for over 14 years and having started my career in the USA, arriving here in the summer of 2000 as Managing Director of an independent luxury golf resort in Georgia."
Cloudland at McLemore Resort heralds a new era of luxury for leisure and business travelers, with 245 guest rooms, including 19 suites and an impressive 20,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting and event space, making it the largest project of its kind in the region.
